Workshop ''Developing Waste Management Advocacy & Communication Strategy in Tourism Context’’
Seminar “Developing Waste Management Advocacy & Communication Strategy in Tourism Context” was conducted on 18-20 September 2020.
The seminar aimed to provide participants with the tools of communication that enable them to understand existing challenges for implementing Municipal Waste Management Plans; to develop a tailored communication strategy and action plan for promoting integrated waste management system at local level. Experts from V4 countries shared their countries' experiences of waste management issues and relevant practices.

Online Seminar - Integrating Waste Management Systems in Tourism Sector for Sustainable Regional Development was conducted on 9-10 December, 2020.
The seminar aimed to bring together representatives of local governments, local communities, and local entrepreneurs involved in the tourism sector and reflect on the existing problems and develop strategies promoting sustainable waste management at municipal level. Experts from Armenia and Poland shared their countries' experience in waste management issues and presented relevant policies and practices.

Online Training Course for Local Youth Organizations: "Fundraising and Grant Writing Skills for Implementing Environmental Projects"
Online Training Course for Local Youth Organizations: "Fundraising and Grant Writing Skills for Implementing Environmental Projects" was conducted on 12-13 December, 2020.
The training course aimed to develop participants' skills in preparing successful project proposals and obtaining funds for implementing projects at municipal level. Hungarian expert shared European experience and provided expertise in developing a project proposal.
Advocacy and Monitoring Campaigns
Online Training of Trainers was conducted on 19-20 December, 2020. The training aimed to develop participants' skills to independently conduct awareness-raising activities on waste management systems and civic participation tools; to provide knowledge on training methodology. Participants gained the confidence to act as multipliers and lead as mentors in their municipalities. Czech expert shared her expertise.
Integrated Capacity Building Program "Introduction to Waste Management Systems – Community Participation for Sustainable Development" was conducted on 4-6 September.
The training course aimed to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of national legislation and international commitments on waste management systems, introduce waste management services available, and advance local communities' advocacy skills in civic engagement mechanisms to maintain municipal waste management plans and promote sustainability standards. Experts from EaP and V4 countries shared good practices on waste management issues.
